Mock The Week
I’m a big fan of British comedy. Standup comedy goes one stage further as it involves interaction with an audience, giving the comedian an opportunity to shine when done correctly. Putting a host of clever-witted comedians together is bound to be a success in my eyes.
Enter BBC TV series, Mock The Week - the weekly satirical comedy show on BBC2, combining seven of the finest comedians in Britain today, ripping apart the week’s news and, more often than not, putting their own edge to it.
Being such a fan of Mock The Week, I took the opportunity to setup an informative reference to the show, highlighting some of the best bits, sharing snippets of information about the show and it’s comedians, as well as introducing current affairs with a touch of sarcasm and humour.
The project is a work in progress and will continue to grow over time, especially in the news section.
The design is based on a basic WordPress theme that, I feel, has a raw style, akin to the basic form of printed newspapers. It is a very early concept though and, like the website, is bound to develop over time, possibly withering with some of the dated humour.
