Paul Velocity Presents One Phat DJ

It seems the only attention this blog ever receives at present is for the One Phat DJ Podcast, both from the visitors and its author. That’s not to say nothing else is happening, far from it. So in the first of five announcements due over the next seven days, I kick things off with news from the music side of things.

Last month, fellow funky house DJ and regular podcaster Paul Velocity asked if I would be interested in featuring in his new format show, Paul Velocity Presents.

I must admit - at first I was slightly taken aback at his request. Considering in previous episodes, he’s interviewed hugely successful DJs such as Tom Upton, Anthony Payne and upcoming producer DJ Ruxpin, as well as hugely talented artists like Katherine Ellis who most of you would recognise in tunes like 7th Heaven’s “Ain’t Nothin’ Goin’ On But The Rent“.

But not one to miss out on an opportunity to promote the podcast as well as let the world know a little more about who One Phat DJ actually is, I jumped at the chance.

As well as discussing the podcast, the thoughts behind it and what the future holds, we also got ridiculously technical about the Microformats I implement into each podcast episode as well as how social networks are involved such as Flickr and Facebook.

To polish off the half hour interview (yes, that’s a whole 30 minutes of us talking), you are also treated to special 30 minute mix to round off the hour long package (full track listings below).
